I thought of your Social Studies program... flickr has a new feature that allows you to upload images via email. This is a great feature to use if you are behind a firewall that doesn't allow access to flickr, or if you want to upload images from a mobile device that has email but not web capability.
To set this up, you need to find out your flickr email address. Log in to flickr then select the "Your Account" link in the "You" tab. Once you get to the "Your Account" page, you'll see a tab labeled "Email", click on it. On this you'll see an email address labeled "Your Flickr upload email". This is the address you mail picture to to get them upload onto flickr.
You can email multiple pictures at once. But if you limit yourself to one picture per email, the subject of the email will be converted to the title of the picture, and any text in the body of the email will be converted to the description of the photo. You can also include tags for your pictures.
